INTRODUCTION AND REFRESHER COURSES

LEARN TO DIVE
OPEN WATER REFERAL: Includes 5 theory sessions and 5 confined (swimming pool) sessions.
Open water dives should be completed within one year.
Length: 5 evening sessions or a full weekend.
SCUBA DIVER: Includes 3 theory sessions, 3 confined (swimming pool) sessions and 2 open water dives.
Only certified to dive when accompanied by a PADI Instuctor or Dive Master and only to a depth of 12 meters.
Length: 3 evening sessions or a 1 day for confined water & theory and 1 day for open water.
OPEN WATER DIVER: Includes 5 theory sessions, 5 confined (swimming pool) sessions and 4 open water dives.
Fully certified to dive to 18 meters upon completion with a diver of similar or higher standard.
Length: 5 evening sessions or a full weekend for confined water and theory and then 2 full days for open water.
ADVANCED OPEN WATER DIVER: Includes 5 dives, two of which are mandatory (underwater navigation and deep dive), the other 3 are optional from the following: dry suit, wreck, multilevel dive, search and rescue, nitrox, underwater photography, drift, project aware/naturalist, peak performance bouyancy.
Certified to dive to 40 meters upon completion.
Length: 2 full days (usually one at Wraysbury and one at Poole/Weymouth).
GAIN EXPERIENCE
SPECIALITY COURSES:
Length: 1 to 4 days depending on course.
EFR (Emergency First Response): Includes theory sessions and first aid training.
Length: 2 days
RESCUE DIVER: Includes 12 rescue techniques, theory & swimming pool sessions and 2 days of open water practice. Current EFR qualification or equivalent is required.
Length: 1 evening session and 2 full days (weekend).
MASTER SCUBA DIVER:

GO PRO
DIVE MASTER: Includes detailed theory (physics, physiology, equipment, environment, decompression tables & responsibilities), mastery of diving skills, training in leading dives, and underwater mapping.
Length: minimum of 30 days; several months is recomended.
ASSISTANT INSTRUCTOR :
Length: 3 days
INSTRUCTOR:
Length: 7 days (4 if AI already completed); usually timed to finish shortly before an IDC exam date.


DAN COURSES (a first aid course such as EFR is required before taking any of the DAN courses)
Oxygen Provider: deals with the provision of oxygenfor the first aidtreatment of diving injuries
Advanced Oxygen Provider: continues on from oxygen provider with more advanced techniques
Marine Life Injuries: deals with the treatment of wounds and injuries from venomous and non-venomous marine life
AED (Automated External Defibrillator): deals with the use of automated heart defibrillators
