Snorkelling
Find out what Snorkelling is like. Many people have looked under the waves with a mask and snorkel but with or without this previous experience there are many things to learn about inorder to get the most out of this exciting, fun activity. We have three different ways in which you can do this. Any of these would make an ideal, original gift for almost any body.
Our most popular option is an hour pool session with one of our experienced instrutors. The course is structured to progress you from your current level, experienced or otherwise. We spend time on choosing the right equipment, explaing safe snorkelling rules and teaching tecniques to make snorkelling fun and easy. Our standard snorkelling experience is normally run on a Thursday evening at a cost of £30 but can be timetabled to suit at additional cost.
Or, you may be after a Skindiver course. This is a longer course, covering some basic principles of physics and phsiology and their relevance to snorkelling activities. A series of snorkelling skills are taught and on successful completion a PADI Skindiver certification is awarded.The course takes approximately three to four hours and is open to 8 year olds and above. The couse can be timetabled to suit and depending on times and location the price varies from £40 -80 per person.
We also offer PADI “DISCOVER Snorkelling” sessions. “Discover Snorkelling” includes a video about snorkelling and the aquatic world. You then go in our warm indoor pool, with an instructor. Everything is set up for you and your instructor will make any necessary adjustments to make you comfortable. You will experience snorkelling and the fun and adventure that it can offer.“Discover Snorkelling” takes approximately one and a half hours. The course can be run on a Thursday evening at a cost of £40 or can be timetabled at other times to suit at additional cost.
Private sessions can also be arranged and often make good 'birthdayparty' or school holiday activities for kids.
