Irian Jaya Itinerary

22nd October- Day 1
Arrive Sorong airport, escorted to boat, settle in, dinner. Sail towards first destination

Day 2

Arrive Kri island for pristine protected reefs, many different fish and coral species. Night dive

Days 3 & 4

Waigeo Islands
Yellow soft coral wall dive , sheer undercut wall dive, visit a  pearl farm,
mantas often seen here. Night dive

Day 5

Kawe island. Straddles the equator
Lots of fish stunning scenery up to 5 dives to maximise visit

Days 6 & 7

Waiag island. Most northerly, gently sloping gardens or  steep walls. Lots of life. Wobbegongs.  Hike to top of island for view

Days 8 & 9

Sardine reef and other sites fantastic scenery

Day 10

Batanta Island
Start day with hike to see red bird of paradise, jungle trek, hornbills, cockatoos
Underwater anything from sharks to pigmy seahorses

Day 11

Wail island
WWII US plane wreck, lots of coral growth, plenty of other great dives.
Walk to see cassowary

Day 12
Back to Sorong and fight homeward.

We will overnight in Sulawesi before retuning to London via Singapore. Leaving on the 3rd and arriving at 07:00 on the morning of Sunday the 4th November. Rest all of Sunday and arrive at work on Monday bright eyed, tanned, and bushy tailed.
